Enza Pagliara is among the best known performers as well as international music tradition of Salento with numerous recordings and concerts. Born in Torchiarolo, village on the border between the provinces of Brindisi and Lecce, the singer was able to bring larger the musical culture of her land beyond the natural and social context from which the family had spontaneously transmitted. Bona crianza comes after two discs of great success and is another step in the artistic and human Enza Pagliara career. She shares the experience since the beginning with the accordionist and composer Antongiulio Galeandro (here also the author of some of the music, arranger and musical director ) and the mandolin player and guitarist Gianluca Longo. This nucleus is added cellist Redi Hasa, who signed one of the pizziche and some arrangements of this record, and a group of wind and percussion instruments, borrowed from Fanfare Populara, the typical sound of the Southern Italy band recalling the style sometimes festive and sometimes lyrical. Bona crianza has a large repertoire of popular waltzes, popular songs, serenades and pizziche that blend very naturally to the popular tradition to the brass band. The meeting of these two musical reality comes to an original sound, light and enthralling. Always been central to the life of the countries of Southern Italy, especially in Apulia, the band continues still today marks the times of celebration, ritual and religious communities.
