TRILOGY is the new album by the composer Arturo STÀLTERI. The album contains 11 unreleased tracks (plus a bonus track), written for the occasion, including two tracks transcribed and rearranged by STÀLTERI: Trilogy by K. Emerson and Rosso Napoletano by Toni Esposito. Divided into the number three, hence the title of the album, the CD sees Arturo mainly in solo on the piano accompanied in some passages by the two instrumentalists Federica Torbidoni (flute) and Laura Pierazzuoli (cello), reconstructing, not surprisingly, the trilogical dimension.

TRILOGY is inspired by the number three in its numerous meanings as recited among others by Guido M. Landucci's writing on the booklet. TRILOGY is also a tribute to Keith Emerson, whose homonymous song is reinterpreted in a reading for two pianos.
With his "Trittico Napoletano" TRILOGY also contains a tribute to Naples. There are three tracks: the first inspired by Domenico Scarlatti (Sonata K 466), the second one is dedicated to Vesuvius and the last one is taken from Toni Esposito repertoire, of which STÀLTERI has rearranged Rosso Napoletano, in a version for piano, flute and knotdrum (a drums obtained by sampling various sounds). Another trilogy "Trois Morceaux en Forme de Pomme" opens the CD with the reference to Trois Morceaux en forme de Poire by Erik Satie (no musical reference, only literary). In Trois Morceau, among other things, two pieces appear in which the cello and the flute intervene respectively, in homage to the figures of Brian Jones (Rolling Stones) and of Anita Pallenberg, who was his muse and inspiration. . The CD also features a rarefied piece ( Three Pianos and) the inevitable tribute to J.R.R. Tolkien and his trilogy "The Lord of the Rings, with Three Rings to the Elves Kings for piano and cello (from the "Poem of the Ring"). Finally, a composition inspired by the famous Triptych of the Garden of Delights, by the Flemish painter of the '500 Hieronymus Bosch and one dedicated to the three main Babylonian deities: Anu, Enlil, Ea.

ARTURO STÀLTERI, Roman, he graduated in piano at the Conservatory Alfredo Casella of L'Aquila. He studied in Rome with Vera Gobbi Belcredi, in Paris with Aldo Ciccolini and attended the advanced courses of Vincenzo Vitale and Konstantin Bogino. He began to be known with the Pierrot Lunaire historical name of the Italian progressive rock of the seventies, a group that was able to mediate between rock and classicism and with which he recorded two albums. Other artistic collaborations include: Rino Gaetano, David Sylvian, Carlo Verdone and Sonja Kristina.
STÀLTERI, carries out a lively concert activity, turning his attention also to authors from the extra-cultured area. In his solo piano performances, besides his compositions, there are also pieces by Debussy, Schubert, Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, alternated with his transcriptions and arrangements of compositions by Sakamoto, Genesis, Sigur Ros, Glass and Mertens.
Since 1988 he has collaborated with RAI (Italian National Radio), for which he has conducted numerous musical ptograms. e is currently conducting Two classical /contemporary music programs and collaborating as jurist with several national and international awards.
