For Arturo Stalteri, Flowers 2 is a return to the ancient shores: classical compositions are large part of the album that ranges from the great love for Chopin to the one for Debussy through the troubled innocence of Franz Schubert (and the dramatic tension of Wagner's Tristan and Isolde, heavily reworked by Franz Liszt. And then the darkest side of Beethoven and the beloved J.S. Bach. Stàlteri does not forget, however, the intellectual progressive rock approach, re-reading the manifesto masterpiece by King Crimson, In The Court Of The Crimson King. The overwhelming modernity of the new Icelandic pop is here with Sigur Ros Hoppipolla. The Roman artist then throws a perfect bridge to his first album Flowers, dating 1995, proposing a renewed version of one of his most popular melodies, Scarlett. Then inserts a new song, The consciousness of Tao, created during the recording of television program, "Bitte, keine Reclame" for Rai Futura that Arturo conducted in 2004 with Franco Battiato.

For Arturo Stalteri, Flowers 2 is a return to the ancient shores: classical compositions are large part of the album that ranges from the great love for Chopin, the Nocturne in E minor, to the one for Debussy Clair de Lune (from the Suite Bergamasque), through the troubled innocence of Franz Schubert (the Impromptu in A flat major) and the dramatic tension of Wagner's Tristan and Isolde, heavily reworked by Franz Liszt. The darkest side of Beethoven's most famous nocturne is embodied by the first half of the Sonata in C sharp minor, while J.S. Bach's free severity shines in the inlay of the Chromatic Fantasy in D minor. The additional track is rather a subliminal homage to his favourite band … Arturo Stàlteri, from Rome, got his Piano diploma at the Conservatory Alfredo Casella in L'Aquila. Since 1988 he collaborates with Rai Radio 3 and presented among others, programs such as Alfabeti Sonori, Lampi, Il Concerto del Mattino, File urban, Primo movimento, Alza il volume; for Radio Rai International presented Il Notturno dall'Italia and for Rai Radio 2 Fuori giri and Musical Box. He has a busy concert activity turning its attention to the authors of the non-intellectual area. In his performances for solo piano in addition to his compositions, pieces by Debussy, Schubert, Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt can be enjoyed… as well as Sakamoto, Genesis, Sigur Ros, Glass, Mertens … Stàlteri began to make himself acquainted with the group Pierrot Lunaire, one of the historic names of the progressive rock of the seventies. Among his several CDs we highlight Circles (1998), devoted entirely to Philip Glass music, CoolAugustMoon, for piano and small orchestra, dedicated to the music of Brian Eno. His most recent Child of the Moon - Dieci notturni e un'alba (2007) and Half Angels (2009).
