With this record, Jean-Pierre and Olivier Durif Champeval play with polyphony created on violin strings. The music is not necessarily "arranged", but made available to the imagination through the deep knowledge of musical languages of the two. The repertoire is mainly made up of themes explored extensively by the old guard of violinists Leo Peyrat, Julien Chastagnol, Alfred Mouret or Péchadre. Nevertheless the presentation of the tradition is not the main element of this work and many of their songs are originals.
