The very first CD of YUAN DENG, a young gu zheng (chinese harp) virtuoso.
The CD program includes classical pieces of Chinese tradition, presented in gu zheng solo versions, with a repertoire ranging from the typical impressionistic pieces of classical Chinese music, inspired by natural phenomena and/or scenes of everyday life, to rousing suite drawn from the repertoire of folk music of ethnic minorities in the country. As Dance of the Yao People illustrating the spirit of their rural communities around the world while celebrating with song and dance a universal hymn to life.
The gu zheng (ancient zheng), according to the classification of musical instruments widely in use today, is a harp, an instrument that is made up exclusively of a sounding flat and strings. YUAN DENG was born in China where he began studying his instrument at the age of six years, achieving the highest diploma for amateur musicians. After graduation she graduated in engineering in Italy where she moved and now resides. In recent years he has played a concert activity in Italy and in China.
