Is back, five years after the lucky “Munfrâ”, the Piedmontese group that colours the scene of musical Italian songwriting for over twenty five years. Twelve stories / songs that pay tribute to the life and to the meeting, to affirm the existence of happiness. Happiness as an invitation to go against the tide, making different choices, not contrived, that offer hope, curiosity, desire for the future.
A deeply acoustic album, realized favoring analog and valvular sounds, recorded without electronic sounds, with a large group of prominent guests.
An intense drive and load of poetic visions.

Here, finally, the new album by Yo Yo Mundi entitled “Obvious Traces of Happiness”. Back, five years after the lucky “Munfrâ”, Piedmontese group that colors the scene of musical Italian songwriting for over twenty five years.
“You play with your eyes closed, dreaming with open ears”, Yo Yo Mundi sing in one of the songs, and better than that you could not explain the genesis of the album: a disc played, dreamed and desired.
Twelve tracks characterized by a still different sound, and, in some way, more evolved than previous works: a deeply acoustic disc, only slightly electrical traits, realized privileging analog and valvular sounds, recorded without the aid of electronics .
The invisible but strong thread, combining the stories of the individual songs, is the evidence of a possible happiness. In fact, song after song, or rather, crumb after crumb, as in the tale of Tom Thumb, we find traces of it, that gradually become more evident.
So the twelve stories, which in the end are all love songs, pay tribute to the life and to the meeting, to affirm the existence of happiness.
It is not, however, a search at all costs to happiness: it is only the desire to report in these times full of superficiality, violence and selfishness, a possible way that our lives are not infected by this devastating climate and the trend to disenchantment.
The invitation is to go against the tide, making different choices, not contrived, that offer hope, curiosity, desire for the future, assorted happiness. “If each tear there's a poem in every smile there will be a revolution.”
Guests who contributed to the making of this new album are all artists close to Piedmontese group : Chiara Giacobbe, violinist who has become in effect the sixth YYM, Paolo Bonfanti who played guitar and dobro, Simone Lombardo who sowed bagpipes , hurdy-gurdies, flutes in different songs until Gino Capogna, Betti Zambruno, Alan Brunetta, Federica Addari, Andrea Negruzzo, Ludovica Valori, Rino Garzia, Marta Wingu. Special mention for Gianni Maroccolo (Ex CSI and former artistic producer of YYM), Cristina Nico - respectively on bass and vocals in “Cuore Femmina” - and Anna Maria Stasi (CFF), solo voice.
Produced by Paolo Enrico Archetti Maestri in collaboration with Eugenio Merico, the album was recorded and mixed by Dario Mecca Aleina in Sounds & Lightning studios in Rivalta Bormida. Graphic design, illustrations and photos by Ivano A. Antonazzo.
