Like New York, London or Paris, Milan is a place of multicultural encounters, dialectical pastiche and unexpected overlapping. CAMILLA BARBARITO highlights it in the second chapter of Sentimento Popolare, her personal journey into the popular sounds of the Southern Hemisphere.

Two years after her first album (Sentimento Popolare Felmay 2018) CAMILLA BARBARITO's enthusiasm and energy seem unchanged or even further strengthened, so let her own words introduce us to her new album.

“These 13 tracks are the outcome of years spent riding and rolling over the vibrant waves of thousands of happenings, densely populated by beautiful faces and strong energies, tightly clinging to the mysterious and enigmatic rituals of live music. As a concert is mainly made by those who witness, we release this recording to express our gratitude to every single gesture coming to share the hunger for being in tune and poetry. An all welcome celebration, where you can cry or tear your hair out, wave your arms and be awesome. Let us tribute juicy flower crowns to our heroes and legends of reference: mine are so many and different, sometimes living in remote places, whose names are hard to pronounce. Their sounds have been a lifebelt, and pure pleasure. Once again, we’re song stealers without any legitimacy. But we were mercifully saved by our friends, pictured as holy saints on cards, holding their own instruments, each one with his own madness and skilled fingers. Heavens, please give us many more years, as we want to play, sing and dance for a long time to come!”
