This project is among those new productions that see the rise of the new “Mixed Italian” artists - of mixed generation – deeply rooted in Afro and Afro-American culture, gifting a new meaning to the typical Italian music, through a modern sound and a live performance that captures the general attention.

Big Dave was born in Rome to an Italian mother and a father from the Democratic Republic of Congo. A meeting of culture and passions expressed through a musical style linked to the roots of black music that tells of worlds in dialogue. A mix of genes and vibes, summarized by the artist as follows, “You are the sunshine of my life by Stevie Wonder is the song of my childhood. My mother used to sing it as a lullaby. We had a house in Garbatella but I felt like I lived in every corner of the world."
So began his passion for music, which led him naturally to the sounds of soul and black music and which invited him to travel to enrich his musical background. And in the triangle London, New York, Rome, a sound wave of compositions takes shape that go to define the current repertoire: steeped in experimentation and more classic R&B, Afrobeat, Rap. The new project “Son of the Moon” has an original R&B sound with which Big Dave is forcefully entering “the scene” also in the live version accompanied by a multicultural band.
