The album is a mixture of music for the dance performed in the last 80 years in various parts of Sicily. In addition to the performances recorded during recent research, the album presents historic recordings taken from old records produced by immigrants in America from 1916 to 1939. Contraddanze, quadriglie, tarantelle, scotis, balleti, valzer, polke, and mazurke present an initial inventory of the ethnochoreutic traditions of Sicily.
