Ethnomusical research continues in Apulia with the presentation of songs and dance music from an area of transition among the upper Salento, the valle d’Itria, and the southern Murgia. Unlike other areas, the territory has conserved a rich and inspired historical memory by the elderly. Dances like pizzica pizzica, scozjë, polka rossa, quadriglia survive along with serenades, satirical songs, narrative songs, work songs, and lullabies. Recordings from 1999 to 2004.
