Tatè NSONGAN, composer and performer both as percussionist than as guitarists, is presenting the first recording of his new musical project. NsonganTrio is a recoding inspired by the life conditions of the migrants, especially the ones from Africa. The composer has approached this matter in a very respectful way, being himself an immigrant too, but also with creativity and talent, telling stories of travels, departures, hopes, boats full of desperate souls. Stories that too often have a very sad ending, told with a sweet and moving sound.

Born in Douala (Camerun) on 1958, Tatè began to study traditional instruments as a child along with his brothers. In 1970 has his first experience as a performer on a stage during ceremonies and rituals in his hometown. In 1973 enters in the Ensamble Choregraphique Les Genies Noirs de Douala, band of traditional music and dances of his region.
In 1981 is a member of the band backing Miriam Makeba in her tour of Camerun, right after arrives in Italy with some members of the Les Genies Noirs for a national tour. In 1983 records with Les Genies Noirs the album Danse et Percussion du Cameroun for the French label Arion.
In joints the new born acoustic band of Mau Mau, and in 1992 they record their first album Sauta Rabel. Since then Tatè appeared on the main European Festival stages recording all their Cds.
In 2000 Nsongan established the group Kin Koba, with whom has published a CD and toured Italy extensively.
From 2007 Tatè is a member of the Saba (Italian/Somali singer) group and has recorded two titles with her, Jidka (World Music Network) and Biyo (Sud Records).
