After a wait of seven years from her previous album "Len" and thirteen from her debut album "Wedfel" Iness Mezel back to bring her special blend of traditional Berber rhythms and melodies, and other styles that reveal her complex musical identity, as funk, soul and jazz. Fatiha Messaoudi, aka Iness Mezel, was born from Franco-Italian mother and Berber father. She lived in the suburbs of Paris and moved to Algeria to seven years later by going back to France to live with her grandmother. Since the childhood music was an essential element of her life. Began her professional career in Paris while continuing to study at the conservatory, to take singing lessons and even a course in jazz improvisation. "Beyond the Trance" reaffirms the particular musical identity of Iness Mezel, transporting us into a musical world where jazz, soul and blues come together beautifully.
