GATTAMOLESTA greets 2012 with 12 new sparkling and all to enjoy songs on their new album Vecchio Mondo (following the previous Czeleste, 2009).
Loaded with emotional meaning lyrics are marked by love, death and above all by the utter aversion to the numbness of the current era, the sound path is a maximal wave in mid-time, rippled by punk outbursts such as the powerful hits Cinghiale matto and Vecchio mondo that gives the title to the whole work. Thanks to Josh Sanfelici in charge of the artistic direction, (worked with Mau Mau, Roy Paci and Aretuska), the band reinvents its style: if the band re-emphasizes its Gypsy-Balkan-Beat thanks to upbeat brass and brassband arrangements, this time, enhances the sound kneading it with flamenco and tex-mex guitars, mariachi trumpets playing marches and choruses evoking various scenarios, jostling between the Bolsheviks and the Morricone's lyricism worth of the best spaghetti westerns.
Enjoy! Let yourself be carried away from the joyful force of the spaghetti-balkan-partying band of the moment!

Thanks to Josh Sanfelici, proud of his Turin origin, in charge of the artistic direction, (worked with Mau Mau, Roy Paci and Aretuska), the band reinvents its style: if the band re-emphasizes its Gypsy-Balkan-Beat thanks to upbeat brass and brassband arrangements, this time, enhances the sound kneading it with flamenco and tex-mex guitars, mariachi trumpets playing marches and choruses evoking various scenarios, jostling between the Bolsheviks and the Morricone's lyricism worth of the best spaghetti westerns! Performers are always top class: the flamboyant frontman Andrea Gatta vocals, guitarist, jester; the faithful shepherd of Abruzzo Gigi Flocco on accordion, the moustached cowboy Nicoló Fiori juggling double bass and electric bass; the holy man Jader Nonni on drums and percussion . The team is joined by the alchemist thoroughbred Ivan Macrelli playing electric guitar, slide, percussion and effects. Guests players are trumpeter Stefano Sheriff Serafini (Gloria Gaynor, Mario Biondi), trombonist Marcello Jandu Detti (Nobraino, Dogs), violinist Mayumi Suzuki (Gattico Suzuki) and the clarinetist Stefano Bertozzi (Banda Olifante), all accompanying the band along the track sounds of the album. We will find again some of them in the wild live performances on the tour …. Enjoy! Let yourself be carried away from the joyful force of the spaghetti-balkan-partying band of the moment! From Romagna GATTAMOLESTA brands its music as Urban Folk. Born in 2004, self produced an album in 2007 came to 2009 with Czeleste (Felmay Records) where rhythmic acoustic sounds cross Balkan, Mediterranean and Adriatic outlooks through night sweaty atmospheres. Lyrics are always aware of the current social issues with a surreal and poetic catch. The front man and founder of the group is Andrea Gatta, singer and guitarist by the unquestioned appeal, thanks to his charisma he's able to establish an immediate complicity with the audience. Rounding out the group are Ivan Macrelli on guitar, Nicolò Fiori on bass, Jader Nonni on drums Luigi Flocco on accordion.
