La Greentrax Recordings festeggia il suo 25 ° anniversario con la realizzazione di questo doppio CD venduto al prezzo di singolo. Si tratta di una raccolta di 25 tracce (più due tracce bonus) tutti di rilevanza e significato molto speciale per l'etichetta e per il suo fondatore, Ian Green. I brani da lui selezionati non sono necessariamente un 'best of' (anche se potrebbero facilmente adattarsi a questa descrizione) ma ognuno ha un posto di rilievo in qualche modo speciale nei 25 anni di percorso e di crescita dell’etichetta. Selezionare i brani per realizzare la raccolta non è certo stato un compito facile vista la grande quantità di materiale a disposizione. In 25 anni la Greentrax Recordings ha pubblicato 468 album, un risultato notevole da ogni punto di vista di cui Ian Green non può che essere orgoglioso e che colloca l’etichetta al primo posto nella produzione di musica tradizionale scozzese e come leader fra le indipendenti nel Regno Unito.
