Èlia is the name that in March 2006 LALLI and PIETRO SALIZZONI wanted to give to their common musical project. Together, they have been writing songs for over ten years. Songs are born through sensitivity and closeness of intent, as well as musical affinity, yet looking for the simplicity of a text and a melody for guitar and vocals. Sometimes they tell about stories, sometimes about emotions, feelings, our time. Around these songs, the musical ensemble strenghtened and the arrangements reflect musical influences accumulated over years, from Anglophone rock-folk, to the fathers of the European songwriting.
Èlia live performance gathers thirteen songs chosen from those recorded live during two concerts on 12 and 13 April 2007 at the Teatro Agnelli in Turin and contains both tracks of the two authors, and some covers like Yo vengo a ofrecer mi corazon by the Argentinean songwriter Fito Paez, Afraid by Nico (Velvet Underground singer), Ave Maria by Fabrizio De Andrè and Vedrai by Luigi Tenco.
An album where every song is a music and singing piece that makes up this beautiful "live"mosaic and that puts Elia, rightfully so, in today's national song-writing panorama.

The collaboration started while writing the song Testa Storta, for the soundtrack of the film Preferisco il rumore del mare and it continued with the creation of the CDs All’improvviso, nella mia stanza (Il Manifesto, 2003) and Èlia (Il Manifesto, 2006) Songs are born through sensitivity and closeness of intent, as well as musical affinity, yet looking for the simplicity of a text and a melody for guitar and vocals.
