An ample ethnomusical anthology of the popular dances of the southern Abruzzo. The Frentana region is one of the most interesting for the number, variety, and the physiognomy of the dances still in use (saltarella, spallata, ‘ntricciariello, valzer scambiato, mazurka scambiato, serpetille, isciana, sciottë, cotta, danza, tre passi. The hand organ is the instrument which predominates in the Abruzzo. Recordings from 1981 to 1991.
