His strong emotions lived and shared in the last few years on the stage with his public finally recorded in a valuable CD titled Il Colore del Maestrale. MAURO PALMAS, composer and well-known musician of the Sardinian, contains eleven original songs. Personal portraits of his musical path drawn in these songs and caught by the pictures of the Cagliaritanian photographer Daniela Zedda.
Recorded in three cities Padova, Pistoia and Cagliari, the album shows a clear evolution made of many ‘musical pictures’ which describe the feelings of an artist in love with his own island, Sardinia and the “Maestrale”, a familiar wind which carries the sounds of the island and the sea.

The last work of MAURO PALMAS, composer and well-known musician of the Sardinian and Mediterranean music scene, produced in collaboration with Michele Palmas for the S’Ardmusic record label, contains eleven original songs.
Personal portraits of his musical path drawn in these songs and caught by the pictures of the Cagliaritanian photographer Daniela Zedda, symbolizing the sea water, the Mediterranean colours and intense flavours of memories and present day life.

This Mare Nostrum which surrounds the island and treasures its cultural heritage, let also the other extraordinary cultures of the surroundings flow. Mauro Palmas loves identifying, describing and finding himself in those colours which brightly define his artistic experience, projected from the hearth of his island to the sea and beyond. A narrative musical sequence poetically realized by Daniela Zedda’s pictures describing enchanting landscapes full of colours like magenta, blue, Mediterranean white, silver, red and green of the wind.
