Perunika vocal trio, whose name comes from the Slavic goddess of rain and eternal beauty, was formed in 2006 and consists of Eugenia Georgieva, Dessislava Vasileva and Jasmina Stosic. After the success of their debut album "Introducing Perunika Trio" for Riverboat label, the three singers have a new creation, "A Bright Star Has Risen", continuing to explore the rich and varied folklore of southern Bulgaria, the place where pagans and Christians live in perfect harmony. The album is a collection of songs performed a cappella by the Bulgarian trio with extraordinary vocal harmony, combining the delicacy typical of the madrigal and the deep Orthodox spirituality. "A Bright Star Has Risen" is also equipped with a booklet with interesting information on the trio and the Bulgarian musical culture.
