This is the third album on Greentrax by The Paul McKenna Band since their formation in 2006. Their two previous titles are Stem The Tide (2011) and Between Two Worlds (2009).
Their arrangements are fresh and innovative but do not stray too far from their traditional roots. Their sound is exciting and is created by the solid lead vocals and guitar of Paul McKenna, the driving bouzouki and mandolin of David McNee, the rhythmic fiddle and banjo of Mike Vass and the melodic flute and whistles of Sean Gray, plus the explosive beat of Ewan Baird's bodhran. Only one line-up change has occurred since their formation, when Mike Vass replaced Rua MacMillan.

At the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards in 2012, Paul McKenna won Scots Singer Of The Year, Mike Vass won Composer Of The Year and the band were nominated for Folk Band Of The Year. The band were also winners of Best Up And Coming Artist at the awards in 2009. What remarkable achievements for a comparatively young band.

The band has gone from strength to strength, touring extensively throughout the UK, USA, Canada and Europe. Concert highlights include appearances at Cambridge Folk Festival, Tonder Festival Denmark, Milwaukee Irish Festival USA, Goderich Festival Canada, Greentrax 25th Anniversary Concert Edinburgh and Celtic Connections Glasgow.
