Mimmo Epifani is considered by critics one of the best musicians and connoisseurs of traditional Italian music for the technical innovations of improvisation applied to his instruments, mandolin and mandola. Here he joins Josè Barrios (voice and varius strings) in a repertoire at the same time original and inspired by the traditions of Extremadura (Spain), Portugal and Salento (Apulia-Italy).

FADO ATTARANTADO: The compositional mastery and the exceptional executive technique of the stainless duo formed by Mimmo Epifani from Salento and Josè Barros from Extremadura, is compared with the interpretative style of Josè Manuel David, Tonino Carotone to tighten even more the link between the Portuguese regions and Salento. The project "Fado Attarantado", besides being a funambulistic crossroads of strings, voices and melodies, intends to propose a repertoire, at the same time original and inspired by the traditions of Extremadura and Salento, which highlights the links between two fundamental heritages of musical culture such as fado and pizzica.
