Six years after Un vegh pes marii (a weird sea fish, Felmay, 2004), that gathered great consents from public and critics, TRI MUZIKE are back with Pause, a production rich in new hints and innovations.

New members have joined the band, now formed by Armando Illario (accordion, vocals), Massimo Latronico (guitar), Paola Lombardo (vocals), Patrick Novara (clarinets, oboe, sax soprano, bagpipes), Raffaele Kohler (trumpet), Antonio Pani (darbouka, squared cymbals, percussions) and Andrea Quaglia (bass).
Deeply changed is the repertoire: among the eight tracks only Samra (performed by Aziz Rihai vocals) belongs to the tradition, while the other compositions are original signed by TRI MUZIKE with collaborations for the lyrics with Luciano Erba , for 1942 and Valerio Corzani for Cento mari, cento mani stanche. The wide use of the Italian language is the main characteristic of Pause, that right from its title invites us to take a healthy break form daily routine, because, as TRI MUZIKE state: «A pause is a nourishment for any dream and any dream is a vital lymph». A tribute to the pause (and to the smooth relaxation accompanying it), expresses itself through a blend of effective musical suggestions, thus creating a highly refined world music. Just as in Clorofilla‘s first part a tribute to Portuguese sonority is paid; and the following Cipolla, quiet and evocative, characterized by a plain melody songwriter style; in 1942 jumping percussions opening the track are an introduction to Balkan atmospheres are provided by Kohler’s trumpet and Novara’s clarinet; with Lima Sorda we soak in the repertoire from Lazio (Center Italy), dissolved by a jazzy final; and lastly Mon Capel (rich in virtuosity solos) and Riff-raffa, ironic, humorous presentation of the group played on a rhythmic obstinate figuration. In short, Pause confirms TRI MUZIKE’s artistic gift and unveils a new and original side, carrier of further artistic developments
