After 15 years, back in the recording studio and on stage the historical folk group of the Italian world music: Tammurriata di Scafati. With the conduction of Nando Citarella and Antonio 'O Lione, starts the journey through the stories and sounds of Vesuvius, where the tammurriata is music and dance more important than all the religious and profane feasts. On an obsessive rhythm performed by tammorra, and other percussion instruments like putipù, triccheballacche, castanets, scetavajasse, Jewish harp, singers take turns improvising verses traditional or concatenating, and dancers in sensual dance bind. In addition to varied repertory of "fronne" and tammurriate, the project also offers the tradition of tarantelle from other provinces bells with examples from Cilento, from Sannio Beneventano, Irpinia, from the Matese area. Another highlight of the musical menu are the serenades and the Neapolitan specks in the “Pusteggia” (car parking-style), contributing effectively to achieve a compelling show. BUM! is the disc, just published, collecting old entries and new musical adventures.
