"Làntias" wants to highlight the talent and the wonderful, enchanting voice of Elena Ledda and the "sound" of an ensemble that consolidated its own original expressive figure. An intense album in which music and words travel among the intricate plots of the contemporary, without losing the link with their Sardinian roots.
Guests Enzo Avitabile, Luigi Lai, Gabriele Mirabassi and Gianluca Pischedda.
"Làntias" is the new recording project of Elena Ledda, the result of precious synergies and collaborations that summarize an artistic journey that ranges from Sardinia to the world. The album includes twelve pieces inspired by the complex human events that characterize the society on the threshold of the third millennium. An intense album in which music and words travel among the intricate plots of the contemporary, without losing the link with the roots. Strong stories in current contexts, ranging from the slaughter of innocents in every part of the world in Ses andau and De arrùbiu, to the tragedies of migrants in our seas and in the fiery desert sands in Cantu Luxis and Arenas; violence that explodes in the relationship between man and woman in Bèni. Issues that can not but touch the strings of an artist, who feels the need to make his work a tool of communication through which to try to convey emotions, give opportunity for reflection and, as far as possible, indicate small lights (Làntias) of hope. But Làntias does not omit the sounds and colors of the popular religious festival, where dreams and passions are relived with Nora; the reference to the simplicity and wisdom of the ancient peasant civilization, the evocation of fathers who act as guides and teachers for a healthier existence with Làntias and Torrandi; the play between meaning and nonsense in a fascinating nursery rhyme on the awareness of man in relation to his passage on earth with Ca sa terra est tunda. A poetic anthology contained in nine emblematic pieces, written in Sardinian by Maria Gabriela Ledda (with the participation of Enzo Avitabile in De arrùbiu) and translated into music by Mauro Palmas, Silvano Lobina and Marcello Peghin, who accompanied Elena Ledda in her intense walk and in its artistic evolution, on stage as in recording rooms. And, embellish the itinerary between the emotions, three wonderful love songs: Serenada, by the Galician musician Antonio Placer; the lullaby Ninna Nanna in Re by Bianca D'Aponte, and the famous Andean folk song Ojos Azules. This artistic project wanted to highlight the talent and the wonderful, enchanting voice of Elena Ledda and the "sound" of an ensemble that after many years of music together consolidated its own original expressive figure. In this context are inserted the precious meetings with musicians such as Enzo Avitabile, Luigi Lai, Gabriele Mirabassi and Gianluca Pischedda.
